Originating from the city of Canigli, Raitarough (Goblin for "Shadow") left his home years ago hoping for adventure and opportunity. Things have not gone well, however. He had all of his belongings stolen, he could not find work anywhere, and everyone insists on calling him "Rai". Eventually, he turned to thievery to feed himself, refusing to give up and go home, and found, as his name would suggest, he had a great amount of natural talent for the craft.

Recently, he was caught by the guard committing a robbery and was given the choice between the death penalty or joining the Watch. Rai, begrudgingly chose to take the Death Test and join the Watch.


Shortly after starting his life of crime, Rai was approached by representatives of the Thieves' Guild, who "suggested" he join. While not exactly his type of crowd, Rai has found a surprising new home amongst the Guild, some members being his first friends since leaving home and learning a lot from them. Of course, his friends want a percentage of his income each month, but eh...
